A long time supporter of the iconic RAF Red Arrows, Premier were recently invited to spend the day with the team.
An early start on a frosty February morning was dampened by the news the whole fleet had been grounded as a precaution following the discovery of a minor fault. So no display today. The plus side, more time with the team.
After a morning briefing with pilots Red 4 and Red 6 and an extensive and fascinating Q&A, Jamie and Ryan were treated to lunch with top gun, Wing Commander Collins. After lunch, the main event... the hangar tour. Two members of the "circus", a team of engineers paired to each pilot, who have intimate knowledge of the aircraft guided the guests around the aircraft and explained the daily rigours of maintaining these aging yet agile and perfectly suited aircraft.
A quick photo with the team in front of Red 1, the plane and pilot always at the point of the iconic arrow formation, then it was time to bid them farewell. Not before being presented with a fantastic selection of goodies in a bag... ironically, all produced by Premier!
