Soft drinks giant Coca-Cola have teamed up with convenience store chain 7-Eleven in the Philippines to give away a series of cute promotional squishies to shoppers. There are five exclusively designed Coca-Cola Emoticon Squishy Balls in the collection. Each squishy ball represents the feeling or action of Cool, Hug, Kiss, Sexy and Super.
The downside is, you’ll need to buy twenty 500ml bottles of Coke to collect each stress ball. This giveaway ends on 29th July. That’s a lot of soda pop to consume in less than a month.
Coca-Cola Philippines have successfully been using emoticons in their marketing throughout the year.

Meanwhile, over here in the UK, Coca-Cola have embarked on their biggest ever experiential marketing campaign to launch the latest sugar-free version of Coke. Look out for special Coca-Cola Zero Sugar events across London and the rest of the UK this summer. They won’t be hard to miss. A massive 16ft+ replica of the Coke Zero Sugar bottle (shown in the photo below) is the centrepiece of Coca-Cola’s promo tour.
Coca-Cola Zero Sugar is designed to replace the existing Coca-Cola Zero product. Of course, there will be plenty of opportunities for people to sample the new drink, as well as contribute to the company’s #TasteTheFeeling marketing push on social media.
“We’ve spent years developing this new recipe to get even closer to the taste of Coca-Cola Classic without the sugar,” says Jon Woods, general manager of Coca-Cola Great Britain. “That’s important because we know a growing number of people want to reduce their sugar intake but have been reluctant to try a no sugar option because they don’t think they taste as good as the original.”
