Congratulations to Premier’s HR administrator Hannah, who successfully raised £265 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity yesterday by taking part in this year’s Paras’10 event. This challenging 10 mile endurance race, held at Colchester’s military garrison in Essex, is based on one of The Parachute Regiment’s actual selection tests for new recruits.
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity
“ABF is a great charity who give support and help to soldiers and former soldiers of the British Army and their families in need. A very worthy cause,” says Hannah. “Last year I ran the course, which is a 10 mile cross country route through ditches, swamps and up hills. Yesterday I was ‘Tabbing’ – wearing military style boots, trousers and a 35lb (16kg) rucksack – finishing the course as quickly as I could.”
“I’m a little battered, blistered and bruised today, but all for a good cause,” adds Hannah. “Hardest event yet and I think its safe to say I’m not quite Para material!”
