The main aim of promotional products week is to raise the profile of promotional products and encourage their use within marketing. It also highlights the massive benefits of using promotional products for brand awareness.
– 89% of people will keep a promotional product if it is useful
– 64% of people feel more appreciated when they receive a promotional product than if they receive a direct or digital mail
– 48% would like to receive promotional products more often
What are promotional products?
Promotional products are regularly used and include everything from branded pens, mugs, calendars, USBs and sticky notes to confectionery, clothing, keyrings, sports bottles, stress relief products, gadgets and much, much more.
Such products are used at seminars and conferences, as exhibition stand giveaways, as Christmas gifts, rewards, and to support charity fundraising, giving constant brand exposure on a modest marketing budget.
#Deskie – The new selfie!
The BPMA are also running the highly anticipated #Deskie challenge that everyone can get involved in. Simply take a picture of your desk and tweet it to @premierpp and @PPWeek using the #Deskie and you could become the winner of the ‘Desk of the Year’ Award as well as win £1,000 of desk accessories ‘showcasing promotional products in action’.
A few words from Premier’s Managing Director – Jamie Marshall:
“We are pleased to be lending our support to this initiative and know that it will do a great deal to raise the profile of promotional merchandise and show that it is much more than just a freebie.”
